Access is a user-friendly and efficient tool if you want to create smaller and medium sized databases. You can work with any kind of information. All it takes is for you to structure your data correctly and then you can type in, search and present your information in any way you want. You must only store your data once! So, in order to do that, you must split up your data in several tables which you then link together by using relations.
After the course you will be able to:
In the section below called “Course details” you will find detailed description of each subject in this Access course.
I this module the Access interface is reviewed and how to navigate through the various objects.
The following will be covered:
In this module you’ll get an introduction to the theory behind the construction of a database. You will also get an understanding of relationships, keys and which problems may occur if the database is not built correctly from the beginning.
The following will be covered:
In this module you’ll learn to create tables, adding fields with different data types and managing field properties. Tables are the foundation in a database, and therefore it’s important to design them correctly.
The following will be covered:
In this module you’ll learn to create queries, choosing information/fields from various tables. You’ll go through the many opportunities in building criteria’s, as you often want to see a selected outcome of your data set. It will also be shown how to make calculations and using totals.

In this module you’ll learn how to create and design Access forms. Learn how to create them with a nice layout, colors, and command buttons to open other forms, perform a search or print the current form. We look at the many wizards used to building forms.
The following will be covered:
In this module the goal is to create good-looking reports, quickly and easily. Reports can be printed, but often they are just shown on the screen. Reports have the advantage that they can handle and display huge amounts of data, as data can be grouped and sorted. You have the same design features as when you design a form, but of course, no interaction with the user. You learn to insert formulas, controls, and to use different sections for inserting repeated content or headlines.
The following will be covered:
